Let’s Keep Moving

I love my dance sessions at the Luncheon Club in Southampton. The club has been going for many years now, and its members are predominately from the Afro-Caribbean Windrush Generation. Some say it’s just like being back home, with the food, the fun – and of course the dance!

And that’s where I come in, I teach a movement class here every Wednesday which includes a variety of dance styles, including African, Latin and Modern. We use music from all over the world to inspire our movements. Take a look at this video to see what we get up to and to find out more about the club and what it means to its members.

Classes are on Wednesdays, 12 pm - 1 pm at Priory Road Hall, 65 Priory Road Hall, St Denys SO17 2PQ and is open to people 50+
